Who we are

One Africa Global the summit organisers for One Africa Global Summit (OAGS), aim to wholly comply with UN General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); that along with our values and principles support our willingness of good practice. Therefore, your consent for us to handle your personal and business information is crucial to ensure transparent and accountable practices.

What information do we collect from you?

We collect information about you (name, email address, employment information, location etc.) when you voluntarily complete the form to register for events so we can process your details in order to deliver our services.

Why do we collect this information?

We use the personal information you supply in our membership and event registration databases to be able to offer you our services in a number of ways, such as:
• OAGS delegate registration

• Accommodation bookings (if applicable)

• Visa letter (if applicable)

• Expenses payments

• Summit/meeting or event planning

• OAG Summit e-newsletter subscription

Who might we share your information with?

If you agree, we shall pass on your personal information only and exclusively to the companies that we are working with, to arrange the services that you require such as event registration, membership, venue logistics, catering, etc. Sharing information with airlines, hotels, venues, caterers, publishers, printers, website editors, etc. will help us process the relevant bookings and are necessary for the delivery of our services.

By not agreeing to allow us to share data with appropriate third-part suppliers, it will be impossible for us to deal with your individual registration and associated bookings (accommodation, flights, catering, etc.) and/or services to this event.

We will not disclose any information for marketing purposes to any company outside the ones related to the planning of the event; except to help prevent fraud, or if required to do so by law.

Photographing or Videoing

We might take photographs and/or videos on-site during the event, conference, meeting, etc. that might be used on our website, printed material, just to be kept in our records, etc. If your image is captured in our photographs / video that is circulated for marketing purposes (mentioned above), you have the right to request for that photo / video to be removed / deleted by contact us to the email, phone or address provided at the end of this notice.

What do we do with your information?

How long do we keep hold of your information?

We will retain your information for the period of membership or event registration that you have chosen, until immediately after the event has been finalised or until the financial requirements that are established by law have been complied with. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, to request to be forgotten or have deleted your individual data from our records.

OAG Summit e-newsletter subscription confirmation

OAGS aims to wholly comply with the UN General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); thus, under these new laws we are required to check with all our members (subscribers) whether they wish to (continue receiving) receive our e-newsletter.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at bottom of each of our e-newsletters. If you do not wish to consent to receive the e-newsletter, then no action is required in this part of our notice. As a result, we will delete your name from our mailing list and you will no longer receive OAG Summit e-newsletters.

Data retain

In cases of commenting we will retain the data for the statutory minimum required period.
In cases of registration we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How can I access the information you hold about me?

How we protect your data

Our main goal is to protect user’s personally identifying information (PII) and hold businesses to a higher standard.

All the plugins that we used are all up to date, and we use the latest version of WordPress. We encrypt any personal information and our user communications with the servers with the help of SSL/HTTPS protocol. All administrative credentials are unique, any data breach issues will be immediately under resolving process.

What third parties we receive data from

In case of third party links posting we are not perform any checking activities related to security or privacy compliance.

We are not responsible for information collected or used by any advertiser or third-party site.

All social media sharing links, either displayed as text links or social media icons do not connect you to any of the associated third parties, unless you explicitly click on template.
